Of their friendship emerged the idea of acquiring a vineyard …
The grape varieties
Facing south and at an altitude of 310 m, the vineyards of Mas de la Doux provide beautiful maturity of the grapes while maintaining freshness. The high thermal delta between the hottest time of the day and coolest at night makes for the ideal conditions for the production of nervous wines and for aging. These conditions explain why the former owner planted grape varieties usually found up north (Chardonnay and Pinot noir) in addition to the Grenache blanc, Marsanne, Grenache rouge, Syrah and Cinsault which are the "classic" grape varieties found in Languedoc.
